Vineyard Notes: The grapes for this wine were sourced from our original Killerby family vineyard planted in 1973, and our Margaret River vineyard. Both vineyards were hand pruned.

Harvesting Notes: Both the Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc were machine harvested in the cool of night in March 2008.

Winemaking Notes: Both the Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc parcels were fermented separately before blending in stainless steel tanks. This cool tank fermentation allows for maximum expression of primary fruit aromatics in the resulting wine.

 

Wine Characteristics

Alcohol Content: 12%

Residual Sugar: <5.0g/L

Colour: Pale straw with a green tinge.

Nose: The wine displays vibrant and pure citrus and lemon aromatics.

Palate: Fresh citrus, stonefruit and lemony flavours are apparent on a tight and fresh palate. A more complex array of dried fig and tropical fruit flavours build through the palate. The wine finishes fresh and long with cleansing acidity.

Condition: Excellent

Cellaring Notes: This wine can be enjoyed in its youth or cellared for up to three years to reveal some more toasty bottle aged characters.

Best With: Gnocchi with fresh basil pesto, Prawn Laksa, Thai Fish Cakes or Smoked Salmon and capers.
